We want you to get the most out of your consultation. If at all possible, it is best to make arrangements for small children to stay home rather than having them join us for your appointments.
Pregnancy causes many changes in a woman’s body and often leaves new mothers feeling like they no longer look like themselves. A Mommy Makeover can help restore your pre-baby body and give you more confidence in the way you look. Read on to find out how Dr. Bryan Gawley, Dr. Raman C. Mahabir, and the team at Gawley Plastic Surgery can customize a Mommy Makeover for you!
At Gawley Plastic Surgery, our Mommy Makeovers focus on the breast and abdomen as these are the two areas most affected by pregnancy and breastfeeding. Loss of breast volume and loose skin in the abdominal region are two common problem areas for women post-pregnancy. We offer a highly customizable plan to address these problem areas and more.
Breast augmentation restores fullness to the breasts using either saline or silicone implants and can also help to restore symmetry.
A breast lift alone does not change the size of the breasts but returns them to a lifted, perky position. However, it is common to pair this surgery with an augmentation.
A breast reduction serves to reduce the size of the breasts in order to lessen the strain on the back and alleviate any other discomfort associated with large breasts. The procedure also aims to create a more proportionate, balanced figure.
The tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, procedure tightens weakened or separated abdominal muscles while removing excess skin for a thinner, firmer tummy.
A longstanding popular procedure, liposuction removes excess fat deposits to create a smoother, more contoured appearance. Often used in conjunction with a tummy tuck to improve results.
The Femtouch procedure can be performed before or after any of the above surgeries as a quick, easy and noninvasive solution to improve your vaginal health after having a child. Learn more about it on the MDSkin Site.
Each Mommy Makeover is customized to meet your specific concerns; you can choose to have as many of these separate procedures as you and your surgeon agree on. When possible, procedures may be done during the same operation. However, our doctors always have the comfort and welfare of our patients in mind, and because these are surgical procedures, sometimes it is necessary to spread them out during multiple operations in order to ensure patient safety.
As with all surgical procedures, recovery time is required to allow the body to properly heal. Some procedures are more invasive than others and therefore require more healing time. If the procedures are done during multiple operations, there may be a period of recovery between these separate surgeries. The total amount of recovery time is dependent upon the procedures included in your Mommy Makeover. Because each Mommy Makeover is different the precise number of sessions and expected recovery time will be discussed during your consultation with your doctor.
Our goal is to ensure you feel confident in your body again and to help you achieve results while providing you with the care you need. If you’d like to learn more about these procedures or would like to start planning your Mommy Makeover please contact our office today to schedule a consultation.
