Post CO2 Laser Treatment Care

Supplies Needed

• White Vinegar (purchase new)
• Aquaphor Ointment (provided)
• Package of 4×4 gauze (provided)
• Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (provided)
• Cetaphil Moisturizer (provided)

Vinegar Solution Preparation

• Mix 2 tbsp vinegar with 1 cup cool water in a bowl. Add ice cubes if desired.
• Soak 4×4 gauze in the solution, then wring out.
• Apply to treatment areas while lying flat for comfort. Use towels to protect surfaces.
• Leave on for 5-15 minutes.
• Reapply Aquaphor after vinegar soaks.

Immediate Post-Surgery Care

• Skin will be cooled and Aquaphor applied.
• Begin vinegar soaks later the same day.

Day 2-3 Care

• Shower with warm water; allow shampoo to rinse over the face.
• Do not wash or scrub the face.
• Perform vinegar soaks 3 times daily.

Days 4-10 Care

• Attend an in-office follow-up for healing assessment.
• If advised, switch from Aquaphor to Cetaphil.
• Cleanse face gently with Cetaphil once daily without scrubbing.
• Apply Aquaphor after cleansing.
• Perform vinegar soaks twice daily until peeling completes, followed by Aquaphor.
• Once peeling is complete, switch to Cetaphil moisturizer and discontinue Aquaphor.
