Am I a Good Candidate
for Otoplasty Surgery?
If you have disproportionately large or protruding ears, cosmetic ear surgery may be the right option for you. Our surgeons strive to get the most natural results for our patients to help boost your self-esteem.
A good candidate for this procedure is also able to withstand general anesthesia used during surgery, be a non-smoker, and have realistic expectations about what an Otoplasty procedure can accomplish.
Choosing Your Procedures
During your initial consultation, one of our surgeons will evaluate the condition of your skin and your overall health.
Facial cosmetic procedures can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures. After listening to your goals and concerns, they will recommend the facial rejuvenation options that will best achieve the results you desire.
Our surgeons believe it’s important for patients to be well-educated about the risks associated with any cosmetic surgery, including facelifts.
Recovery & Results From an Otoplasty
After your procedure, you will be sent home with bandages around your incision sites to help reduce swelling and minimize bleeding. Your surgeon will give you specific instructions for what you can and cannot do immediately after surgery and in the weeks to come.
The recovery process varies from patient to patient based on the extent of the procedure and your ability to heal. Typically, patients experience minimal discomfort from an Otoplasty and you should expect to take it easy for a couple weeks after surgery to let your incisions heal.
