Breast augmentation is not only the most popular plastic surgery procedure in the United States, it also has one of the highest satisfaction rates of any procedure.
After your procedure, your results will be immediately visible, sort of. Your breast implants will initially be high on your chest. That’s intentional–letting them settle into place in your breasts naturally contributes to natural-looking results. In addition, postoperative swelling can make your breasts look larger than you wanted them to be. Don’t worry, this will subside and your breasts will be the size you discussed with your surgeon during consultation.
You can expect to be sore for a while after surgery. Count on taking a week off work, and being prepared to take several weeks to get back to feeling completely normal and getting back to your full exercise routine.
You may experience increased self-confidence and increased levels of sexual desire after your breast augmentation, but this cannot be guaranteed.
