We want you to get the most out of your consultation. If at all possible, it is best to make arrangements for small children to stay home rather than having them join us for your appointments.

A Unique Experience

The first thing to emphasize is that every mommy makeover experience is unique. Because a mommy makeover is not one procedure, but instead a collection of different cosmetic procedures, your recovery process will be determined by the precise nature of your treatment.
We will make sure to carefully explain exactly what you can expect during your recovery before you undergo your mommy makeover procedures. They have more than a decade of experience and have seen what the recovery time is like for women of all sorts.

Take Your Time

After your procedure, the most important thing you can do is to take your time and relax. You will only make your recovery process more difficult if you attempt to resume a full schedule of work and parenthood immediately after your procedures.
Get someone to drive you home from our offices and then find someone who can help with your children and look after you. After a couple of days, you likely won’t need much supervision, but your kids obviously will.

Take it easy for about 10 days or so after your mommy makeover. No work, no vigorous physical activity. Take brief walks around the house to keep your blood flowing, but don’t push it. About two weeks after your mommy makeover you can begin to resume a relatively normal schedule and can return to work (provided your job does not require intense physical activity). You should still avoid lifting heavy objects. During this time you will likely experience some mild pain and discomfort. This is normal and can be treated with painkillers.

Long Term

At around six weeks you will be able to return to a regimen that is pretty similar to your pre-mommy makeover routine. Don’t push yourself, and if you have any problems at all you can contact our office with your questions about mommy makeovers. However, this is about the time you will be able to engage in more rigorous physical activity.
You will also start to see the results from your mommy makeover. Depending on which procedures you underwent as part of your treatment the full results may still take a couple of months to become completely obvious.
However, once the results do show up you will be able to see firsthand the benefits of a mommy makeover. Your body will be much closer to the youth and vitality it displayed before pregnancy.
If you’re an Arizona woman considering a mommy makeover, please contact our office today to arrange a consultation.
