When you elect to get a facelift, excess skin is removed from the face and the remaining skin is tightened and redraped. Since it is a surgical procedure, it will require downtime for recovery as well. A facelift is a much more intensive procedure than Ultherapy.
For those not ready for a surgical procedure, Ultherapy can help by treating the deep layers of tissue in the skin in a non-invasive manner, including those addressed during a surgical facelift. The results produced will not be the same as the results you would see with a facelift. Ultherapy is not a replacement for cosmetic surgery, though it may help a patient extend the effects of a facelift.
