To help you learn about the SmartLipo procedure and answer some of your questions, we’ve provided some of the most common questions asked about SmartLipo along with their answers:
What is SmartLipo?
SmartLipo is a new liposuction technique that experienced plastic surgeons like Dr. Gawley can perform on patients. SmartLipo utilizes a smaller cannula as well as advanced laser technology to provide superior liposuction results to more areas of the body.
Am I a SmartLipo candidate?
There are many factors that come into play when determining your SmartLipo candidacy. When considering SmartLipo, you should be within about 25 pounds of your ideal weight, have realistic expectations, and have good skin elasticity. To learn more about your candidacy, please visit out Candidacy for SmartLipo page.
Is SmartLipo painful?
Like any plastic surgery procedure, there is a bit of pain and discomfort associated with the recovery process. With SmartLipo, the laser used during the procedure promotes healing so that the recovery process is faster and there is less pain and discomfort. As with all the plastic surgery procedures performed at our office, Dr. Gawley will make sure you are completely comfortable during the procedure and that you experience as little discomfort as possible afterward.
Can I get SmartLipo at the same time as another procedure?
Yes. SmartLipo is an excellent procedure to have performed in conjunction with other cosmetic surgeries. Many of our SmartLipo patients choose to have their procedure performed at the same time as their breast lifts, breast augmentations, tummy tucks, facelifts, or mommy makeovers.
We understand that you probably have many more questions about SmartLipo, so if you’re considering this procedure and you live in the Phoenix, Arizona area, please contact Bryan W. Gawley, M.D. Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery today to schedule an initial consultation.
